At St Marguerite we have some great facilities available for our residents to use and for organised activities we encourage family and friends to join in.
Our Facilities
Dining Room
The dining area is open plan and easily accessible to all residents who are in various communal areas of the home. There’s always a lovely atmosphere with a choice of music playing in the background. Residents enjoy catching up and socializing during meal times.
Bathrooms
Most of our rooms have en-suite facilities and wet rooms for comfort and convenience.
Lounges
We have open planned seating areas, which are inviting and enjoyable places to relax and chat. There is also the snug area, which offers residents privacy when families or friends come to visit.
Salon
Our relaxing boutique salon is where residents can have their hair cut and styled by our visiting hairdresser or, if they wish, their own hairdresser. Also we have a visiting manicurist and chiropodist who offer their services on a regular basis.
Garden
St Marguerite’s beautiful landscaped garden has one of Eastbourne’s finest views – stretching across East Sussex and Kent. Our garden has level access and is easily accessible for all our residents to use.
Enjoy the sunshine out on the seating area or take part in some gardening activities using the raised planters under the large ornate gazebo.
There’s nowhere better to while away the hours.
Stair lift & lift
We have three stair lifts serving all floors and one passenger lift serving both the ground and first floor.
Our Activities
Our residents take part in regular planned in-house activities such as flower arranging, dominos, our in-house choir, gardening, animal visits and exercise classes. There’s also our monthly newsletter, which highlights our weekly activities.
All residents are also encouraged to participate in our day trips, which are organised throughout the summer. Visits to The Grand Hotel (Eastbourne) & The Tiger Inn (East Dean) have been thoroughly enjoyed by both residents and staff. Family and friends are always welcome to come on our outings too.
